Are colors just one color?
Or are they a mixture of separate colors?
Let's use confectionery to see how chromoatography works.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• White coffee filter paper
• White paper towels
• Bag of multi coloured chocolate buttons
• Water
• Plate
• Scissors

WHAT TO DO:

1. Cut the paper filters into circles about 15cm(6 inches) across.
2. Place the plate on a flat surface.Lay the paper on the plate.
3. Place a coated chocolate button  in the center of the paper.
4. Dip your finger into the water. Hold it above the coated chocolate button.Let enough water drip onto the confectionery so that the water starts going onto the paper.
5. Repeat slowly until the confectionery is very wet and the circle of water on the paper towel is about 5cm(2 inches) across.
6. Leave for a while,but keep checking.Something is going to happen. :)
